The Chronicle of Philanthropy has been the premier source of news, information, analysis, and opinion in the social impact space since its founding in 1988. Each year, nearly 350,000 nonprofit professionals, foundation executives, board members, fundraisers, donors, and others working to advance the common good rely on the Chronicle’s indispensable information and practical advice.

In Spring 2023, the Chronicle became a fully-independent 501c3 nonprofit organization. In the coming months, we will be expanding our team rapidly. We intend to hire talented journalists from diverse backgrounds to help us respond to the stories and needs of a rapidly evolving sector. We’ll also be building a strong team of media business professionals and operational experts to help us create a financially sustainable, impact-focused organization. We believe that creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive team made up of individuals with varied life experiences and perspectives is essential to our mission.
